Wuzhen Zhou is a Ph.D. student and Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Tourism, Hospitality, and Event Management at the University of Florida. She holds a Master of Science in Hotel Administration from Cornell University. Her thesis explored platform transparency and supplier revenue in online procurement auction. Wuzhen earned her bachelor’s degree in Event Management from Hainan University in partnership with Technological University Dublin.
She contributed to research and conference presentations on topics ranging from sustainable tourism and cybersecurity in hospitality to consumer behavior in loyalty programs. At UF, she has served as a teaching assistant for courses such as Lodging Operations and Management and Field Experience in Tourism, supporting student learning in both classroom and experiential settings.
Her current research interests include consumer loyalty and purchasing behavior, hotel performance analysis, and the role of differential treatment in shaping customer engagement. Working under her academic advisor, Dr. Rachel J.C. Fu, Wuzhen is developing studies on long-term hotel performance trends and consumer responses in social influence contexts.
