Dr. Hernández-Guerra discusses growing network model in EFTI seminar

On April 6th, 2018, the Eric Friedheim Tourism Institute hosted visiting scholar, Dr. Juan M. Hernández-Guerra, for a seminar on understanding the links between hotels and activities in a tourism destination using a growing network model.
Visiting from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in Spain, Dr. Hernández-Guerra has been visiting with Dr. Andrei Kirilenko to discuss the application of social network analysis to tourism, from the theoretical and empirical point of view.
Dr. Hernández-Guerra’s main line of research has been the application of dynamical models to represent complex systems in nature-based industries, such as tourism and fisheries.
