Dr. Stepchenkova awarded 2018-2019 Term Professorship

On May 7th, Dr. Svetlana Stepchenkova was awarded with a 2018-2019 Term Professorship at the College of Health and Human Performance. The University of Florida established 750 Term Professorships university-wide to further recognize and reward faculty achievements.

Each award term lasts three years and is based on the assessment of academic achievement. The recipients receive $5,000, which can be used to help with research expenses.

According to UF, academic achievement is defined as research productivity, specifically, the quantity and quality of publications, extramural funding, and national and international presentations.

“I am very glad that my research is recognized by my colleagues in the department and college,” Dr. Stepchenkova said. “The money will provide flexibility to meet my collaborators in other countries to better coordinate our research efforts.
