Tourism Crisis Management Initiative continues to monitor the impact of Coronavirus on travel
The third round of the ongoing study conducted by the Tourism Crisis Management Initiative, directed by Dr. Lori Pennington-Gray had the results just announced. The group surveyed more than 500 American travelers to understand their travel intentions facing the current COVID-19 pandemic and analyze the changes from previous weeks.
There has been an increase in travelers who think domestic air travel should be avoided and who had changed their travel plans. Dr. Pennington-Gray expects to see an even larger increase when the results of the fourth round are available, since the third round was conducted before the crisis being was announced as a Pandemic.
The results were published at the University of Florida News and can be found here:
Dr. Pennington-Gray is the director of the Tourism Crisis Management Initiative, the only tourism focused academic crisis management institute in the world, housed under EFTI.
