EFTI Welcomes New Board Member
Scott Taylor
Scott John Taylor will be joining the EFTI Advisory Board on July 1, 2021. Scott is the President and COO of Walk-Ons Enterprises including Walk-On Bistreaux.
Scott grew up in Virginia Beach, VA. After graduating high school with honors, Scott moved to Gainesville to attend the University of Florida.
Scott serves on numerous industry boards including the Multi-Unit Food Service Conference Advisory Board, Restaurant Directions Conference Advisory Board, Restaurant Leadership Conference Advisory Board, International Food Service Manufacturer Board of Directors, and National Restaurant Association Food Safety Advisory Board
As a restaurant industry leader, Scott currently serves as Louisiana State Representative for IFA Franchise Action Committee in Washington DC, State Director for the Louisiana Restaurant Association, Strategic Partner for the National Restaurant Association’s Pro-Start Program and Voted Top 100 Influencers Franchising (ranked #12) 2021
In the community, Scott has served as Advisor for Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans at LSU, Mentor for Big Buddy Organization, Members of Krewe of Lyonnesse 2012 - 2017 (Baton Rouge), 2019 winner of Dancing for Big Buddy fundraising event, 2019 Duke of Karnival Krewe de Louisiane (Baton Rouge), 2020 King of Krewe of Artemis (Baton Rouge), Executive spotlight in Baton Rouge Business Report and Director for Walk-On’s Game-On Foundation – a 501c that rebuilds youth sports facilities across the country
Scott continues to share his experience with the next generation of business leaders in many ways including Guest speaker at University of Central Florida Business school, Guest professor at Cornell University’s Johnson Business School, Guest Speaker at EJ Ourso College of Business Entrepreneurship at LSU, Guest professor at Muma College of Business at University of South Florida, and Member of the University of Florida Gator 100 Business Leaders
Scott has also published numerous articles in several different business publications including Forbes, Inc Magazine, Nation’s Restaurant News, FSR Magazine and many others
Scott received his BA from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences from the University of Florida. Scott is currently pursuing his MBA in Global Business from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette
Scott resides in Baton Rouge with his wife Michelle and children Clay Taylor (2019 Duke of Artemis) and Savannah Taylor. Both are students at University Laboratory School at LSU
